Ed Graves started Energy Improvements Inc. in 1989. Prior to this business, he was in full-time ministry. A friend at church told Ed about radiant barrier and how it worked. Starting and running a business was the last thing on Ed's mind.  It started as part-time work until he could find a ”real job”.

 

There was literally no information in the market place about radiant barrier. The information available was from NASA and a few universities that did testing experiments. The University of Mississippi, Texas A&M, Florida Solar Energy Center and TVA had published reports and studies. Ed looked at the information and studies and saw an opportunity to help homeowners save money on their utility bills.

 

Ed began advertising, knocking on doors, making phone calls, and calling on friends and family. What he found was that nobody had ever heard anything about this product.

Ed placed his faith in God, and success grew quickly. Within a few weeks the first employees were hired! Three decades later Energy Improvements is still strong and growing serving customers across four states.
